USDA announces health warning for frozen pasta for a life -threatening allergen

The Food safety and inspection service of the US Agriculture Ministry (FSIS) have issued a warning for public health For Schnucks pork and frozen tortellini filled with beef. The frozen pasta was referred to as a tortellini pork and beef, but the package can actually contain frozen pork and beeef roasted ravioli. The roasted Ravioli product includes soy and sesame, but the label does not explain an allergen warning for these ingredients FSIS requires.

How to identify the remembered frozen tortellini

The affected tortellini were sold in the cheeky shops in four states: Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Wisconsin. To determine whether you have the Tortellini package that can contain ravioli, you can search for the following information:

FSIS initiated the health warning after Schnucks received a consumer complaint about the search for Ravioli in the Tortellini bag. However, a recall was not issued because the product is no longer available for purchase. At this point, FSIS received no reports about allergic reactions or adverse effects caused by the food of the pasta.

What to do if you have the Schnucks tortellini

If you have the Schnucks tortellini in your freezer and also have soy or sesame allergy or sensitivity, you should not consume it. The consumption of the ravioli could lead to serious or life -threatening allergic reactions. Instead, throw it away or return it to the original purchase location to get a complete refund.

If you do not have soy or sesame allergy or sensitivity, you do not have to do anything about this warning. FSIS has issued the health war to inform those with allergies that the product does not have any ingredients and the package is incorrectly labeled. Therefore, the noodles are not naturally unsure.
