The FDA announces the tuna salad in 7 states due to a potential Listeria contamination

On July 21, 2025, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced two ongoing recalls to tuna salad and tuna salad products, which were produced by Reser due to potential contamination with the bacteria Listeria Monocytogenes. The FDA announcements follow a first recall from Reser’s Fine Food after the bread crumes used as an ingredient in the company’s tuna salad may be contaminated with Listeria.

The First recall Influenced tuna salad and finished food that contains tuna salad sells shops in three states in Jewel-Oscco (owned by Albertsons): Illinois, Indiana and Iowa.

The Second recall Impaired tuna salad and finished food with tuna salad that were sold in three other shops in the Albertson family, including Albertsons, Randalls and Tom Thumb Store. The recall affects tuna salad products that were sold in four states: Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.

How to identify the called back tuna salad products

The recall concerns the tuna salad, which is sold in the DELI housing in the DELI housing and in references, tuna salad sandwiches, snacks and plates by tuna salad sandwiches. The recalled tuna salad products have “Sell Thru dates” between July 16, 2025 and July 19, 2025.

What to do if you have the called tuna salad

If you have the called tuna salad in your fridge, you will be asked not to consume it. Instead, throw it away or return it to the original purchase location to get a complete refund.
