The FDA announces the recall of frozen vegetables due to a potential Listeria contamination
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on September 4th The Endico Potatoes Inc., based in New York, remembers its Endico brand peas & carrots and mixed vegetables because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria Monocytogenes.
After testing, the callback was initiated by a dealer in Pennsylvania, which resulted in the presence of the bacteria. The company has hired the further distribution of the products because it works with the FDA to examine.
How to identify the called back frozen vegetables
The recalled vegetables were distributed to New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, the District of Columbia and Florida by local retailers between July 18, 2025 and August 4, 2025.
The frozen products were packed in 2.5-pound-clear plastic bags under the endico label. The loscodes printed on the sides of the bags are:
- Peas and carrots: Lot 110625, production date 6/11/25, use until the date 6/10/27
- Mixed vegetables: lot 170625, production date 16.06.25, use until 16.06.27.
