I tried 9 brands from cheese buffs, and the best was so much better than chetos
Cheese buffs make the ultimate snack. Easy to find if you have a bag in a snap Petrol station Or a corner business, they always deliver brave, satisfactory taste and this perfectly orange finger afterwards. In contrast to other chips, you do not need any unusual dip or Salsa– Cheese curls are strong in themselves. That’s why so many people rely on them For partiesPresent Road tripsOr bites late at night.
You could think that this small difference between brands is, but that’s why I love being a grocery author. Align them all and try them next to each other, and the distinctions become clear immediately. I started finding as many popular cheese buff brands as possible and performing a masked taste test to see that stand out from the pack. Below you will find my (albeit subjective) ranking of the absolutely best cheese buffs that can buy money.
How I selected the cheese buffs
There are a number of cheese puff brands that line on the shelves, so that the search for options was not a challenge at all. I focused on making them available nationwide with large retailers. While most of them come in the classic orange or yellow Cheddar taste, I also found some white cheddar varieties and also decided to add them in the test. I have not excluded brands that use unconventional ingredients such as hip leas, which are also made with chickpeas. As long as the label “cheese buffs” read, I recorded it in this taste test.
How I tested the cheese buffs
When I tested the cheese puffs, I tried every brand that was decanted and determined, and concentrated on how airy, crispy and kitschy the doodles were. I noticed that caused me to do more and which had an overwhelming artificial, greasy or salty profile that made it difficult to eat more than a handful. I gave those with brave, balanced notes or innovative make -ups in ingredients.
The best cheese buffs, classified
9th place: Wise Cheez Doodles
Ashia Aubourg
I couldn’t help but burst out of “oh no” when I tried Wise’s cheese buffs. It was disappointing, especially because I remember that I packed these tiny 25 cent bags as a child. I am not sure whether the recipe has changed, but they tasted artificial and greasy. Every lightness was also missing and had a stale texture as if they had been outside too long.
8. Place: Gut & collect white cheddar baked corn puffs
Ashia Aubourg
I was a little of the size and shape of these kitschy corn puffs from being thrown off The goal is good and gather Brand – You are over the size of crispy chetos. I had hoped that their texture and taste would compensate for this, but unfortunately the white Cheddar taste did not get through – plus they were really dry without airy bite. On the bright side I appreciate the recoverable packaging that you don’t see at Chip brands often.
7th place: Hipper -Kicherbsen -Puffs (Groovy White Cheddar and Nacho -Vibes)
Ashia Aubourg
Hippe has two flavors: Groovy White Cheddar and Nacho Vibes, so I decided to try both. These puffs are vegan and consist of a chickpea base. Between the two I would choose the white Cheddar again because they have a brave taste. The Nacho were a bit flat in comparison. I wasn’t too impressed by the crunch either – I hoped that they would melt more in my mouth.
6th place: 365 by Whole Foods Market Cheese Puffs
Ashia Aubourg
The cheese buffs from Whole Foods felt a little dry compared to some other brands than I picked them up. But as soon as I bitten them in them, they had a nice crunch and heavy weightlessness. I wish they only had a smidge of more white Cheddar dust; You can taste it easy and it is delicious. My mantra is: If the doodles do not leave a coating on my fingers, there is not enough cheese.
5th place: Trader Joe’s cheese buffs
Ashia Aubourg
Although these cheese have been reduced, puff Trader Joe are full of taste. Although they are not the lightest puffs and are a little denser, they are full of chickens Cheddar notes, which makes them a good choice.
4th place: Annies Bio -Cheddar -kitschigen smile
Ashia Aubourg
Annie’s puffs are baked, not fried, which makes them taste light and not greasy at all. For this reason, I was able to snack a handful of this crispy bit, without having to stop for a drink every few minutes. Although the Cheddar aroma is not essential, it is definitely there. However, the real highlight is how airy and satisfactory these chips are.
3rd place: Hannaford -Käse -Puffs
Ashia Aubourg
I love it if Generic food Surprise me. These puffs from the Hannaford supermarket have a satisfactory, airy ASMR-like crisis that you can hear as soon as you bite into you. The Cheddar taste of the Doodle is brave, but not too much, so you can enjoy some without being too salty or overwhelming.
2nd place: Cheetos puffs
Ashia Aubourg
You can’t go wrong with this popular brand. Although it didn’t take first place, it came, but it came, but it came Really close. These puffs are large, bright in the texture and have a balanced Cheddar taste. Although the winner had a brave cheese taste, they have them from chetos Still earn a top spot on the list for cheese buffs, with which you can always rely on being delicious.
1st place winner: Jax puffed curls
Ashia Aubourg
Jax puffed curls melt in her mouth as soon as you take a bite. They are full of rich Cheddar taste with exactly the right amount of powerful saltness that is not overwhelming. The doodles are airy and crispy and they are covered with so much cheese dust that my fingers were covered within seconds. To be honest, it was difficult to stop at just one handful – they are so irresistible.
