When my editor granted me the task of the taste test in bottles, my first thought was: “But how? You are all practically the same.” A few days later I spoke to my mother and she immediately remembered something that I had somehow forgot: At that moment we all experienced when they took a sip of water and immediately frightened when they taste. I was flooded with memories and realized that these drinks, although they can look identical, can have very different flavors.

Let us be clear: I will always recommend tap water, A Good old filterand a reusable bottle. But even the environmentally conscious among us sometimes have to take up an option bought in the shop. In order to save you time when you are on the road and stared at dozens of water options in bottles, I have put together 22 different brands and put them to the test to find the best.

The idea of trying water in bottles is just as nuanced as a sampling wine, as you have to rely on identifying subtle notes and profiles. With this in mind, I kept an eye on some important considerations when formulating this test: good water should be refreshing, purely tasting and deliberately packaged. 10th place: life wtr

Compared to our high -ranking water in bottles, this from life WTR did not have the crispy taste when it was served chilled. On the side with the competition, however, it landed in the top 10 due to its balanced and refreshing taste.

9th place: eternal water

This eternal water became a candidate due to its smooth and clean taste. Overall, it is very crisp and I could see this brand for every retailer I visited when shopping for this bottle water test.

8th place: Mountain Valley spring water

Similar to Saratoga Springs, this water has a very mineral forward profile. It is similar to the water that you get in a chic restaurant when you pay for an upgrade over the tap.

7th place: only water

While I mainly judged this water because of its taste, the packaging stood out to make them material based on a recycled plant based, so that they do not have to worry about toxic chemicals that can get into their drink. It also has a very pure and refreshing taste.

6th place: Mineral feather river

I had reservations about drinking water from a bottle made of paper and feared that the material could penetrate it and give it a strange taste. But these concerns quickly disappeared when I took a sip – it had nothing but a clean, crispy profile.

5th place: Acqua Panna Natural mineral water

Acqua Panna has a subtle, but very refreshing taste. Its minerality is not overwhelming, but there is enough so that it feels like water for which it is worth paying.

4th place: Summit Spring

My immediate reaction to the water from the Summit Spring was how fresh and slightly earthy it tasted – almost like drinking really fresh water from a parking well. It had a nostalgic, not sophisticated quality, which I appreciated very much.

3rd place: 365 of course alkaline spring water

The 365 brand It is not only cheaper, but also in this case of taste tests, but also a good quality. It has a refreshing, subtle mineral taste. This contender also receives in a recyclable aluminum bottle that keeps the water cold.

2nd place: Saratoga Springs Water

While this water on social media, apart from virality, has attracted some attention, it actually has a pleasantly soft, refreshing and mineral taste. The narrow design of the bottle run is also beautiful and makes it easier to chug.

1st place winner: path water

This water from the path has a pure and crispy taste that made me value a few cups in one session. However, what noticed the most was his packaging: it comes in a futuristic aluminum -replicable bottle. So if you grab you, you can reuse them when you are done.
