The criteria with which I assessed the recipes
- The taste: I focused on bread that showed pure banana taste. Surprisingly, none of these recipes or other spices – which made the banana taste even brighter.

I believe great in the power of the sour cream to improve all kinds of baked goods. In this banana bread it added wealth and the perfect delicate texture. The lactic acid ensures a gentle buoyancy, while the additional fat creates a damp, luxurious crumbs without weighing it. The result was a beautifully arched, golden loaf, which provided a pure banana taste with every bite.

I have always used Janets a rich banana bread recipe to test an additional trick with extra-tearing bananas and an additional added-but it led to the most disappointing loaf of everyone. But it is not the fault of the recipe! I used my crispiest, blackest bananas for the loaf. This seemed to be a logical next step: If some banana is good, it has to be more better, right?
Unfortunately, the extra superioving fruits made the dough too heavy, which led to a dense, high loaf with banana pieces that sank like small aroma anchors. Learn from my mistake: If your bananas are really ripe, you probably don’t need any additional ones!

This was the most unconventional experiment of the bunch. The recipe combines peaches, bananas, eggs and milk and then only stirs a spoon of hot chocolate mixture. Creative, yes – but the execution fell flat. The cocoa promised more taste than it delivered, and the mixed fruits made the texture strangely uniform and somewhat difficult. A funny idea, but not one that I would repeat.
