I never liked oat grims – until I tried the version of my godmother
I knew my godmother Amy all my life. She was one of my mother’s best friends in college And when they lived in Boston where they would do Pretend Together at home after work. Today they are still talking constantly and share updates for the family – but now Amy and I also stay in contact. She is someone who always cheered me on in every situation as I was Recovery from the operation Or when I was nervous to study abroad Italy.
Unfortunately Amy lives far from us, so it’s always one special occasion When I see them. Last SummerMy mother and I took one Road trip To visit them and meet their family’s new puppy. When we both arrived in her house, she greeted us fresh with a bag Cookies. And as if it weren’t already the sweet, her cookies outside the charts are delicious. I was so excited that she shared the recipe with me.
What makes my godmother’s cookies something special
Amy’s chocolate chip cups were some of the best oats I have ever had. Whenever I think of an oatmeal -I think of a boring biscuit with no real taste. Amy’s cookies that have a combination of spice and sweetness on the next level changed my perspective.
Amy’s cookies are made with one Vegan recipe from Pamela SalzmanA cook teacher and recipe developer based in Los Angeles. When Amy gave it up, I told me that she was initially not sure how a biscuit on a herbal basis would taste, but she loves Pamela’s dishes, so she spent it out. I am so happy that she did it because it is now one of my favorite societies.
This is how you make my favorite cups for chocolate chips
The Pamela SaltzMan’s biscuits are made of oatmeal, baking powder, sea salt, ground cinnamon, raw walnuts or cashewnut to a fine meal, melted coconut oil (or olive oil or avocado oil), Ahornsirup, rolled oats and vegan chocolate chips. However, the recipe can be switched around depending on the aromas they are looking for. When Amy does it, she doesn’t use nuts. Dried fruits like Cranberries or ApricotsCan also be added to the cookies for additional sweetness. Amy notes that she uses dark chocolate pieces, but every type of chocolate works perfectly for these divine cookies.
To make them, mix the dried ingredients in a large bowl and process the nuts (if used), oil, maple syrup and vanilla in a food processor until they are well combined Replacement for eggs in the recipe). Stir this wet mixture into the flour mixture and fold into rolled oats and chocolate pieces. Form the dough with an ice shovel in balls and bake for 13 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Like that Autumn season A better recipe quickly approaches that I need to make than these chocolate -flock biscuits. They are easy and easy to whip, perfect for a quick baking when they long for something sweet – a delicious way to share love with them around them. Thanks, Amy!
