I just learned the easiest way to cook chicken – and I’m never going back

My new favorite method for cooking chicken breasts
user @Smalltowninfluencer shared this great chicken breast technology that she picked up during a cooking class. She says it is her trick to make the “best and juiciest chicken breast”. That’s how she does it.
- Season your chicken breast according to your wishes; She used a cajun spice mix.
- Place your large pan with medium heat and add olive oil. It looks like she has used about 2 to 3 tablespoons in the video.
- Add the chicken breast into the pan and immediately set a timer for 5 minutes. Touch or move the chicken during this time or do not move it.
- When the 5 minutes have expired, turn the chicken breast and add 1 cup of water (or try chicken broth) and cover them immediately.
- Then set another timer. @Smalltowninfluencer suggests about 2 minutes for a cast iron pan or about 4 minutes for a stainless steel pan.
- After the timer has expired, switch off the heat completely, but let the lid in.
- Set another timer for 15 minutes – do not spy on.
- When the 15 minutes have expired, take the chicken out of the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before it cuts into it.
Why this method works
Although the heat is switched off, the remaining heat and steam in the pan cooks the chicken gently and keeps the chest juicy and tasty. It takes a few steps to cook over direct heat all the time – but it is worth it for a delicious product that you can use in millions of different ways.
