Bread in 12 states for non -declared life -threatening allergen
If you recently bought bread from Walmart or Kroger, you should check the label for allergens. After US Food & Drug Administration (FDA)Hartford Bakery, Inc. voluntarily reminded of six “Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style 1/2 Laaf” bread, which were sold at various retailers, including Walmart and Kroger, since they may not contain any declared hazelnuts. People with nut allergy or sensitivity to hazelnuts can have serious or life -threatening reactions if they eat these products.
How to identify the called bread bread
The recall was initiated after approx. 883 bread from six production plots, which contained visible hazelnuts and were distributed in the wrong packaging. While the “Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style 1/2 Laib” packages containing “tree nuts”, hazelnuts are not listed as possible ingredients. An investigation confirmed that the bread was wrong.
The browns called back were distributed to various shops in Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, Alabama and Mississippi. They were sold in a plastic bag marked with the following information:
- Loscodes on the front of the packaging: T10 174010206, T10 174010306, T10 174010406, T10 174020206, T10 174020306, T10 174020406
- Net weight on the bottom of the packaging: 340 grams (12 ounces)
- UPC at the end of the packaging: 24126018152
- Date of expiry on the front of the packaging: 13.07.2025

What to do if you have the called back bread
Hartford Bakery is aware of a customer who has experienced digestive accidents after eating the product. The company has also received several customer complaints from those who saw the nuts on the bread before consuming it. No other injury or illness has been reported at the present time.
