4th place: Reese Witherspoon

Reese is a born and bred Mediterranean girl, so I had great hopes for her family’s corn salad. With roots in Georgia, Tennessee and Louisiana, I expected southern ingredients such as mayonnaise, bacon, beans or green peppers, but surprisingly none of these things. It turned out that it was the lightest and freshest option from the entire test.
The recipe-Dorothea, Reese’s grandmother, is filled with fresh summer herbs such as basil, coriander, chives, tarragon and parsley and thrown with a stained shallot-dijon vinaigrette that grabs a sour blow. This recipe was particularly the only one in the batch that held the corn raw and really let its sweetness shine. Since it is served raw, make sure that you use the best corn in the season you can find when you create this dish.
Leaving the corn raw meant that this salad had come together in a few minutes, and I love that it was easy, with a handful of ingredients, some of which I could pull out of my garden. Ultimately, this corn salad was delicious and light, but something rich was missing like cheese or bacon to compensate for all this acid and tie the dish together. Apart from that, I tried to dive a few tortilla chips in this salad @Bakedbymel Style, and it was delicious like corn salad salad salad-hybrid.
3rd place: Ree Drummond

I had to include a recipe from the pioneer for a good measure. Ree has numerous recipes for corn salad, but for this taste test I went with her Grilled corn salad with coriander vinaigrette. The recipe called for grilling the corn together with sweet onions, but I have no grill, so I used it Tips to achieve the same effect With my cast iron pan. The charred quality really came through and added a nice depth of hearty, summer taste to the entire salad.
The first thing I did was that this salad was hearty. This salad filled out the salad with grilled corn, pint beans, avocado and yellow tomatoes (secondary remark: I am not sure why REE gives yellow tomatoes). A few bites in, I was just in front of the door, so I could see how this salad focused on the focus – and the appetite – from the rest of the spread in a barbecue.
I loved the coriander dressing, which was amazed in my food processor in no time. Make sure you taste and taste with salt and pepper as you go. In the end, my salad needed some salt. The addition of Pimiento -Paprika added a splash of color, but I wish you brought more actual spice with me (I added a few strikes of hot sauce over my added). In the end I liked them very much and loved the avocado wealth, but how Reese was – like Reese a salty or crispy element.
2nd place: pepper dough

If you do not know Pepper Teigen (also known as Chrissy Teigen’s mother), you should now. She is not just a delightful Presence on the InternetBut it is also the strength behind Chrissy’s skills and curiosity in the kitchen. After reading the recipes first, I have to admit that I was most excited to try it Peppers corn salad. With ingredients such as bacon, fish sauce and chillies, I had great hopes that he would be packed with taste.
And the end product has not disappointed. This recipe has a lot to offer. On the one hand, the corn is sautéed in bacon fat, which carries it with a smoky, delicious taste. In this salad there is also a large selection of color and texture. From sweet cherry tomatoes that are kissed with heat to make their juices to crispy, salty bacon to the cut chillies, which add a little spice, this corn salad is a true party in the mouth. Shockingly, the fish sauce did not overwhelm the salad, but improved all smoky, sweet, salty, salty Corn quality Continue there.
It was my favorite salad until I tried the last one, but I could easily see that I restored this recipe, especially since it can also be made with frozen corn all year round. Peper’s salad is so much further because there is so much on sweet, fresh corn for the balance like Reese or Ree’s salads.
One last note: This salad comes out quite warm, which I liked, but it was worth mentioning because warm avocado can switch off some people. If you are not a fan of warm avocado, add the windows instead of mixing them up.
1st place: Cameron Diaz
Tyrel Stendahl/Dotdash Meredith Design
Of all recipes, this was not the one I would love. On the one hand, I didn’t even know that Cameron Diaz liked to cook, let alone develop recipes. But when she posted This recipe (ISH) on your Instagram The internet became wild two summers ago. I never got to try. When this taste test appeared, I knew that I had to try.
Cameron’s corn salad is super easy to make how a simple comrade-to-fit-in-in-intgram capion. Essentially, it includes a fast vinaigrette with fresh orange juice, olive oil and champagne vinegar. I couldn’t find champagne vinegar in my grocery store, so I replaced a mixture of white wine vinegar and Sherry vinegar.
The only actual cooking in this recipe is the burning of the corn with a little olive oil until it “bangs” and brown a little. It only took a few minutes, but my corn started slamming and crispy. It does not become crispy at popcorn level, but the outside become crispy and the centers remain creamy and give the entire salad a funny texture layer. Finally, mix the corn together with chopped sugar and the vinaigrette, then with a scaly salt, pepper and crumpled feta cheese, and that’s it!
I was able to cook with Cameron and the whole thing came together with her video from start to finish, which means, that is, that is under 15 minutes. It makes about one that is served for a light lunch or “summer snack”, as it describes it, but could easily be multiplied to make a larger portion for a grill, potluck or family dinner.
Simply put, I loved this salad! It was easy to prepare, uncomplicated, light, but full of taste, and had the perfect balance between textures, temperatures and flavors that no longer had all other salads. Salzig, sweet, crispy and creamy, it was my ideal corn salad, and I have made it several times since the first test.
Never judge a book according to his cover and never judge a recipe from his author! Cameron Diaz is perhaps for earlier acting roles like “The Holiday”, “There is something about Mary” and “Charlies Engel”, but from now on in my house it will be known for this corn salad. Thank you very much, Cameron, for my new contact point Summer snack.
