Get ready New York and New Jersey. Bojangles announced more than 50 new shops in the two states in the next ten years.
In a press releaseBojangles announced that a New York City Agreement was signed with 20 units and the plan to bring further restaurants to the NYC area officially started. The construction of the first location in Brooklyn’s district of East Flatbush is already underway – with the plans to open this winter.
“It is a monumental moment now that we are back in the New York Metropolitan area,” said Jose Armario, CEO of Bojangles. “The east coast longs for the authentic southern charm that Bojangles delivers, and we look forward to introducing the locals with something new.”
The 20 locations in New York City are part of a larger plan to bring more than 50 new locations to New York City and New Jersey areas – with the possibilities of expanding in the state of New York.
This is not Bojangles’ first trip to the Big Apple. In the 1980s, Bojangles had one “Short chapter” in the cityhas not returned since then. It has been decades since the New Yorkers could order a Cajun chicken biscuit, and some people have been excited.
