Said a redditor That the thermometer can read 48, 49 or even 50 degrees F when it is in the Abtau cycle. In five minutes, however, the thermometer should read 34, 35 or 36 degrees. “The meat remains cold for these short thawing periods”, ” said. “If we check our meat with the temporary cannons (it checks the actual package), they are correct.”

Several redditors also mentioned an automated system that notifies employees when the actual temperature drops – as with a malfunction in the machines.
