Ben comes from a very long series of agriculture, in fact seven generations come back from his family. He was also chosen the third hottest farmer in Great Britain Farmers weekly Magazine. And that’s not all, Ben is a voice for agriculture and mental health and uses its social media to put the contemporary agricultural landscape in the spotlight. Ben is also a supporter of the global LGBTQ+ Farming Network AgraresSpect, which promotes and supports diversity in the country.

Ben Farm’s organic beef and vegetables that deliver Abel and Cole among other shops. He is also the beneficiary of the Nuffield Farming scholarship that supports young farmers who want to explore the work of new and innovative agricultural communities worldwide. Ben is currently studying New Zealand’s water and river systems, how and why they are managed differently, in the hope that his results here in Great Britain will bring new insights into the waterways and flood management

The episode begins with Claire going down tiny land traces on the way to Ben’s farmhouse. It is a hot, sunny day and the birds chirp up in the trees. There are also some sheep in the area next to Ben’s house, so huge that Claire confuses them for cows for the first time. It has a good start for the recording!

Ben wants to cook Bulgogi -beef, of course he uses his own Rump steak from the farm. Outside, the grill is illuminated and together that Ben and Claire cook a Korean classic that deals with topics such as mental heath, clubbing in the landscape, his mother’s love for kitchen muthor and his neighbor, “just about this hedge”, Monty Don.
